This is a crosswalk of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health’s National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) with the Joint Commission’s Hospital Accreditation Standards. The CLAS standards were “enhanced”, or updated, in 2013 and they are compared with the 2015 Joint Commission’s Hospital Accreditation Standards (Human Resources; Information Management; Leadership; Provision of Care, Treatment, and Services; Record of Care, Treatment, and Services; Rights and Responsibilities of the Individual; and Transplant Safety) and their respective Elements of Performance. The crosswalk was prepared by the Joint Commission with assistance from the Health Determinants & Disparities Practice of SRA International.
