The National Academy of Sciences, which includes the Institute of Medicine, announced today that all its PDF reports published by the National Academy Press (NAP) will be available for free download. This will increase access to many of the critical reports issued by the Institute of Medicine. Printed books will continue to be available for purchase through the NAP website and traditional channels. The free PDFs are available exclusively from the NAP’s website, http://www.nap.edu/, and remain subject to copyright laws. Users also have to be registered on the NAP website.
