Joint Commission Report: Roadmap for Effective Communication, Cultural Competency and Patient-and Family-Centered Care

This report from the Joint Commission recommends action steps and resources for hospitals to improve provider-patient communication, cultural competency and patient- and family-centered care.  These recommendations support the implementation of new Joint Commission standards which were effective January 2010.
