The Stanford Social Innovation Review and Grantmakers in Health have published this special supplement on health equity. Articles include discussions of the role of health philanthropy in addressing equity; the role of community organizers in advancing health equity; promoting health impact assessments; implementing healing justice in response to community violence; achieving healthy communities through transit equity; and using fair housing to achieve health equity. Additional articles focus on health disparities among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender populations, and Native American communities. The special supplement was funded by the Aetna Foundation.
