U.S. Departments of Health and Human Services and Treasury: Final Rule for State Innovation Waivers Through Section 1332 of the Affordable Care Act

This is the final rule for the implementation of section 1332 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that authorizes states to seek waivers of certain ACA provisions governing state health insurance marketplaces, beginning in 2017.  Although this final rule was issued in 2012, many states are now focusing on section 1332 as 2017 approaches.
