This issue brief on equity from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation describes efforts by its Aligning Forces for Quality program sites to reduce disparities in the quality of care for racial and ethnic minorities. Many of the activities described focus on the collection of race, ethnicity, and language data in order to identify disparities. The issue brief then describes activities to engage diverse patients and communities in developing and implementing collaborative strategies to reduce those identified disparities.
