The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services website www.healthcare.gov on the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act has been updated with information on the health insurance exchanges, now being called “health insurance marketplaces”. The new website pages include updates on each state’s decision whether to operate a state-based exchange, a partnership exchange, or to defer to a federally-facilitated exchange. Links are provided to eighteen state-based exchanges. A parallel website with the same information in Spanish is available on www.cuidadodesalud.gov
