The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders has issued its two-year report on its accomplishments, since being reestablished by Executive Order 13515 in October 2009.  Over the last two years, the Initiative has hosted over 200 events and workshops in 50 cities in 23 states, the District of Columbia, and the Pacific Islands and reached more than 22,000 people.  The report describes the Initiatives activities in nine areas:

  • Protecting Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity
  • Expanding Educational Opportunities
  • Growing a Sustainable Economy
  • Integrating New Americans
  • Building Healthy Communities
  • Collecting and Disaggregating Data
  • Addressing Language Barriers
  • Creating a More Diverse Federal Government
  • Improving Community Engagement
