One electronic health record provider, athenaClinicals has established a dashboard to report on the progress of its users in meeting the Stage 1 requirements for HITECH Act meaningful use incentive payments. The good news is that over 90-100% of its providers are meeting most of the requirements; the challenge is in meeting the requirements of providing clinical summaries to patients (52%), meeting the menu or optional requirements (75%), and recording vital signs electronically (84%).
