This fact sheet from the Consumer Purchaser Disclosure Project, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, describes what tools would be most useful to consumers to make better decisions and choices about health care provider quality.  If consumers and patients are more informed and engaged in making decisions based on quality, then health care providers and systems will be more accountable for improving health care quality.
