This guide designed for parents of children with genetic conditions developed by the Health Services and Resources Administration Genetics Collaborative in Region 4 is one of the few educational materials available explaining the concept of a medical home to parents. Unfortunately, the guide is not always precise – for example, it mistakenly uses the term “translator” instead of “interpreter” in describing culturally effective services.
