This report from the Institute of Medicine prioritizes one hundred potential topics and research questions for comparative effectiveness research. While there will be significant methodology and research design challenges to implement some of this research, some of these priorities reflect much more complex – yet real world – questions of the effectiveness of multiple, complementary interventions.
