CMS Final Rule on Hospital Visitation Rights

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has published this final rule on nondiscrimination in hospital visitation for all patients.  This final rule implements the April 2010 Presidential Memorandum directing CMS to ensure nondiscrimination in hospital visitation and the right of a patient to choose who may or may not visit the patient during the hospitalization.
